What I do at JT

I head up the Procurement and Logistics functions within JT. As a team we are responsible for supplier set up / vendor management / procurement / shipping and all logistical / stock functions. My role is to ensure that the various parts of the team integrate with each other as smoothly as possible, to ensure the supply of equipment required by the various other JT departments.

Who am I?

After leaving Collage I moved into engineering (making precision tools) This was interesting for a period but then my obsession with vehicles lead me into the auto electrical arena as well as mechanical engineering. I started with JT when an opportunity arose in the Fleet maintenance area. After a few years I had progressed to Fleet Manager. Due to the varied nature of JT I was then able to move functions to the Procurement and Logistics department where my electrical and mechanical knowledge were extremely useful.

Advice for prospective candidates

Take the time to research JT, the scale of the business and the technologies we offer. This is often a surprise to candidates. Be yourself in the interview, and please do ask if you have any questions.
